A Pennsylvania nurse was accused of administering lethal doses of insulin that resulted in the death of two patients and hospitalization of a third after she \”felt sick about their quality of life.\”

Heather Pressdee, 40, of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, was charged Wednesday with two counts of murder, in connection with the deaths of two men, one 55 and the other 83.

Pressdee was also charged with the attempted murder of a 73-year-old man, one count of aggravated assault and three counts of neglect of a dependent person, and three counts of reckless endangerment.

The deranged murders took place at Quality Life Services, a skilled nursing facility in Chicora where Pressdee worked as a registered nurse.

Investigators said the victims were under Pressdee\’s care when they received insulin overdoses that caused medical emergencies for both of their deaths.

Pressdee is also said to have been punished for violent behavior towards patients and/or staff at 11 healthcare facilities since 2018, and to have either resigned or been fired from those.

The two men died on December 4, 2022 and December 25, 2022, and the surviving victim was given a life-threatening dose of insulin on August 31, 2022.

An affidavit obtained by DailyMail.com claims that Pressdee gave his victims lethal doses of insulin, a hormone used to lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.

The 55-year-old and 83-year-old fell ill while in Pressdee\’s care in November last year.

According to the affidavit, the two men were \”suite mates\” with their rooms connected via a Jack and Jill bathroom.

On the same night, both men were to be sent to the hospital for the same condition, hypoglycemia, within thirty minutes of each other.

The two men later died as a result, and a nurse who was interviewed by police said in her thirty years of experience she had never seen anything like it.

The nurse also said that Pressdee had told her one of the men \”would have been better off dead\”.

The 73-year-old man who survived was also under Pressdee\’s care at the nursing facility and reportedly overdosed on insulin, despite not being diabetic.

According to the affidavit, the man began having seizures and suffered severe hypoglycemia shortly after Pressdee provided him with direct care.

After law enforcement arrived at his home Wednesday night, Pressdee apparently admitted he was responsible.

He told officers the surviving victim, who had been in COVID isolation, asked Pressdee to \”kill\” him.

Pressdee also told investigators she felt bad for the two men who later died and that their \”quality of life wasn\’t good\” before injecting them with the insulin.

In a statement, Quality Life Services said, \”Quality Life Services is shocked and devastated to learn that the allegations made against Ms. Pressdee by the Attorney General\’s Office include alleged illegal activities that occurred at our QLS Chicora facility.

\’We will continue to cooperate fully with the Attorney General\’s Office, as necessary, in the investigation and prosecution of this matter.

\”We can assure our community, our residents, our families and our staff that all residents of Quality Life Services – Chicora are safe and receiving appropriate care and services.\”
